In addition to bug fixes and interface updates, the following features have been added...

  • Windows Bitmap and QuickTime Image Support
    JPEGCompress can now natively export images into the Windows BMP (Bitmap) Image format. Also, if you have Apple QuickTime 4.0 or later installed onto your computer then JPEGCompress can utilize QuickTime to import and export images that QuickTime can.

  • Set as Desktop Wallpaper
    Set any image within JPEGCompress to be your Desktop Wallpaper.

  • Drag & Drop Support
    Dragging images from other programs to the JPEGCompress window will enable JPEGCompress to edit that image. You can also do just the reverse with programs that support Drag & Drop, by dragging the image within JPEGCompress to another open program's window.

  • Send Image
    You now have the ability to "Send" images to Email Recipients and FTP Sites, as well as your Desktop, My Documents and My Pictures directories.

  • Batch Processing
    JPEGCompress now incorporates a Batch Processing Wizard to guide you through the process of compressing and/or converting multiple graphics at the same time.

  • Printing
    Print your image to almost any color, grayscale or black and white printer.

  • Associations
    JPEGCompress can now associate itself with images on your computer. This means that at JPEGCompress will be considered the default editing application for many different types of images on your computer.
